Dr Inger Olesen is a Medical Oncologist and Affiliate Senior Lecturer at Deakin University with expertise in gynaecological, thoracic, and gastrointestinal malignancies. Her interest in cancer in pregnancy was enhanced through an Obstetric Medicine Fellowship in 2024/25. She holds a Pharmacy degree from the University of Tasmania and maintains a strong focus on medication safety. Dr Olesen completed her medical degree at the University of Sydney, oncology training in Sydney and Hobart, and a sabbatical at WEHI on rare gynaecological cancers. She is a member of the ANZGOG Cervical Cancer Tumour Type Working Group.
